the petition demanding global ban on GM-trees and who wanted to be
informed about the campaign prosess.
(See more:http://video.elonmerkki.net/forestforum)

On the whole list there is more than 500 individual signatures and more
that 50 organisations. This is a good basis to continue. Great thanks to
all of you for your activity!

1. Join in campaigning!

The future is depending on just the creativity and activity of us all.
How to get the campaign informed to all those millions of people´s who
are strightly against GMO:s and also against GM-trees? Thats the
question and we clearly have not yet found the answer!

We would be very happy to get at least one contact person and campaigner
in every country working with us for this campaign.

If you are interested in this voluntary work pleace
contact:forestforum@video.elonmerkki.net. There is lot to be done before May.

2.DVD-reports for UNFF

The long list of signatories is one important aim, but not the only one.
On the other hand we should have to present also some alternative
guidelines and solutions when we go to Geneva with the petition.

For that preparatory work we invite you and your friends to take part in
workshops in People´s Forest Forum and make your contributions. You need
not to be a doctor or some other professionalist. We hope that
People´sForest Forum could become a real open forum for all of us, local
people around the world. Be free to distribute and forward the
invitation to your contacts.

Specially we are interested of photos, satellite pictures and videos
which could present the forest situation in different countries but also
text based contributions and good web-links are welcome.

3. Action alerts

There has been delivered some important action alerts.

Binod Saharia from India is asking help to stop the destruction of
Himalayan forests:

On http://www.wald.org/raposa/index4.php you can support the land rights
campaign of indigenous peoples of Brasil.

Dont forget to forward the action alert of Global Ban on GM-trees
campaign also moving around!

4. Can you help with translations?

There are many languages which have not got their translation about the
petition text. Video workshop also need help to translate videos from
France to English and from Finnish to English.
