HOW TO PARTICIPATE

1. Global Ban on GM trees - circulate the petition The petition for Global ban on GM trees has been presented to UN Forum on Forest in May and now on December we are to be presenting it for UN Kioto meeting in Buenos Aires. Please make all your efforts to get this petition campaign moving in all possible circles in your country. The last campaign letter is available for forwarding here.


2. Worldwide discussion needed
The threat of GM trees is not yet widely known and it is enormous important to get the issue known in public debate. We hope that everyone would be active to produce contributions in their own countries. We hope that our workshops and archives can give some help for that work. Read more:


2. Stop the China´s GM poplar invasion
Join with us greating this campaign to stop the China´s irresponsible introduction of millions of GM poplars. Read more:

3. The network study on GM tree situation needs voluntary work
The network of this campaign includes more than one thousand activists aroudn the globe, by more than 70 countries and also more than 200 hundreds organisations. We ask all these people to join with us to collect information and news what is going on in different countries. At least we should know those countries who are gambling with open air growing with GM trees. Please make with us this study and keep us updated.

4. Financial support needed
Global Ban on GM trees campaign is producing a booklet to be published on December in Buenos Aires. This and other activities take a lot of money which the campaign actually does not have.

We ask individuals and organisations to support the campaign by making small donations on the campaign account which is hosted by the Union of Ecoforestry in Finland. We shall send the campaign publication to all those who support the campaign by more than 50 euro´s sum. The bank account of Union of Ecoforestry is Sampo 800011-70544101
